In addition, it is also necessary to select a bitrate and format type. You may choose any bitrate up to the maximum bitrate you purchased for your package (ie 128kbps package, you can use 128kbps, 64kbps, 32kbps, etc). Customers typically will choose MP3 format, though AAC+ and mp3PRO are supported.
Lastly, you will need to enter information regarding your station. This, for example, includes your Station Title and Genre. The information here will be displayed publicly on your SHOUTcast DNAS page, and if selected, publicly availble on the SHOUTcast directory at http://www.shoutcast.com.
NOTE: Some encoders may prompt for a username because of SHOUTcast v2 implementation. You may leave this field blank, or simply enter 'admin'.
